kega fusion border color

This is the border in country/europe mode

At what time does kega fusion get the border color? I set it to black most of the time accept for a small window in the middle of the screen.

Fusion makes the border colorful so it's getting the border color from somewhere in the middle of the screen or something. How do i get fusion's border to be black?

Make it black before VBL and it would stay so.

Fusion does properly support mid-frame backdrop changes, but only on a scanline-granular level (which can cause a one-line delay for backdrop changes unless they're done at hblank).
