My Component Video Genesis
Finally, nice relaxing component video on my Genesis..
This Genesis is also modified for stereo sound and a mini din-9 connector, instead of a din-8 (it's a first rev model 1)..
The Component Adapter (Made by JROK):

Composite Video (Before):

This is my favorite Genesis system...

The RGB encoder chip in MD/G makes RGB into component video, few wires, and probably a transistor or two, and you have it. I'm using RGB always so I've not bothered.
Component looks so much better than composite, but probably not as good as plain RGB...

i think your thinking of S-Video, which in some countries (and used to) is called Component video..TmEE co.(TM) wrote:The RGB encoder chip in MD/G makes RGB into component video, few wires, and probably a transistor or two, and you have it. I'm using RGB always so I've not bothered.

I'm talking about Component video, aka Color Difference.. the same standard HDTV uses... the closest to RGB without actually being RGB..

here's some more component snapshots.. the weird blue shadow in the sonic shot is merely my cameras sensor.. (the sensor for some reason over saturates blues)..
