Can anyone confirm this ?

To check this you need a MD with PAL/NTSC switch.

OK, I run GBMD and I thought "GBMD uses PAL 240 pixel vertical res, what if I switch to NTSC ?" I switched to NTSC and the screen started to roll.
Does it happen only on my TV or it happens with everyone else ?

TmEE, if you force 240 lines... héhé, it will roll for sure on a NTSC system because he'll take 16 more lines in his face and loose synchro.
The idea is to always stay in 224lines (224 works for both NTSC and PAL) :D

Not with this particular piece of code, but I've run other 240-line code and it does indeed roll.

That's what I'm talking about. The code I tested put the VDP into 240 line mode, and both my Gen1 and 2 exhibited the same thing - screen starts rolling madly. Both systems are stock NTSC systems.

OK, I've found the supreme regional lockout scheme 8) but only for PAL stuff... Don't worry, although my current project is PAL only (an will roll on NTSC), but if it's finished. I'll make a NTSC tuned version.
BTW, is there any need for NTSC GBMD ?
