Well, as you experienced it, the output on MOL & MOR is significantly louder than 2612 so the output impedance should not be the same, however I think that adding pull-down should reduce the volume in this case...

Somebody actually kind of piggy backed an YM3438 on top of a YM2612 in a stock ...

That might help for both question...
It is an YM3438 output stage + clock (btw: its called load capacitors, google it for precise infos)

Its cool that you point this out, as it reveals that ones might needs or prefers different settings to suit a particular work-flow.

The easiest thing to do is a .c file with the MIDI mapping per register.
This way anyone will be able to customize the CC list for his personal needs :) and upload the ...

In fact All the PCM is not played, the hihat is FM
There is other unused samples embedded in the VGM data maybe that is why

On a personal point of view (music creation in mind) I would not really care if I cannot stream PCM samples through the YM2612 DAC.
After all it is just a crappy way of playing PCM and you can reproduce ...

For sure I have replied on your Hardware thread check it out.
