VRAM access seems quite slow, even DMA (and even slower during VBUSY)... (thx Steve & Stef for the info). However, 192*32 = 6KB... And i'm not sure that 68K can tr...

Any way to run 32X VDP without hurting MD mapping?

Hi, I just wanted to know if it was possible to use the 32x VDP without going (or having) the crappy genesis re-mapping... PowerOn 32X > INIT/VDP > Shutdown 32x (but keep VDP output) > Run genesis game. I think they did re-mapping to avoid interrupts timing problems on 68K if the SH is reading the c...

Ok, i edited my message with your updates.

About the 4bits left in VRAM... Steve told me that the VDP was préparing something (like a preliminary Y sorting) few ms before outputing pixels to TV. I'm pretty sure it is working using those 4bits, any idea?

Hi, The genesis vdp have nice features around sprites... First i want to write down the well-known-things (correct me if there is an error): Here are the limits in 320px mode: -32 sprites per line max -320 pixels of sprites per line max (10 sprites of 32pixels width, for exemple) -80 sprites...

I want, I want, please PM me :D

The segacd part is indeed a very complex task, i really want to see how you handled it :)

Also, did you fix the segacd register listing bug? (the adresses were reversed from 0xFF to 0x0 instead of 0x0 to 0xFF).
