I was given a chance to dump a new Mega CD BIOS, Japanese version 1.00C and here it is :

I remember seeing that "pre-retail" unit. Glad to see the boot rom got dumped!
It also predates the official rom identification number (not marked as EPR/MPR-14088x).
For the record,
EPR-14088B - ver 1.00g
EPR-14088C - ver 1.00l
EPR-14088D - ver 1.00o
EPR-14088E - ver 1.00p
MPR-14088H - ver 1.00S
That leaves EPR-14088, and EPR-14088A, F, and G undumped - if they were ever even released. One of the service manuals mentions EPR-14088A as being very buggy. Rev H was I guess the one deemed stable enough to be turned into a mass produced chip, getting mask rom prints instead of just EPROMs.
