Helpful Hint 1: Levels 1 - 11
Missiles can be easily avoided if you bank to the right or the left as they approach. You can do this as early as you like. Not a single missile can hit you, they will fly beneath you as you can see in the picture below.

Stage 3 is a refueling level. Simply press UP and buttons 1 & 2 to dock when the plane approaches. |

Stage 6 is a boss level. Shoot the lower 3 missile hatches to beat it. All bosses are defeated the same way. |
After beating the boss, you will land, refuel and take off again.

Helpful Hint 2: The missile dodging trick from here on out no longer works. The best defense now is to stay at the bottom of the screen or the top of the screen. As the missiles approach you, move to the extreme top or bottom depending on where you are.
