I'm searching sega genesis programmable card to do tests on real hardware.

Yes, it's a good site. I just bought my cart from them a few weeks ago. They ship fast - from Hong Kong to New Mexico took 6 days, including the week end! I've had no complaints.

You can save $5 if you want to scrap an old Genesis cart for its case, but I figured it was worth the $5 to leave my carts alone. If you don't have extra cables, they have them fairly cheap as well. You need a parallel cable, and a USB cable (used for power only). The programmer needs a parallel port capable of EPP. Any recent PC that still has a parallel port will support that mode, though you may need to boot into the BIOS setup to switch the port into EPP mode (I did). They have their own software you can use with the cart, but I use ucon64 and the front-end, uf.

I have the Megacart from Tototek and I'm satisfied with it. It's a bit annoying to need to use a LPT cable, but I can live with that. They usually ship pretty fast and pack the stuff well too..

What i want to do is to test vdp timings with this cart.
Is it possible to stock result in SRAM and transfering the data of the SRAM after tests on the pc for analysing?

Yes. Ucon64 can read the SRAM from the Md-Pro and save it as a file on your PC. The TotoTek software can as well. The MD-Pro has four banks of 32 KB of SRAM on the odd addresses at $200000. You enable it using the standard method: write 1 to $A130F1, then just write bytes to $200001, $200003, etc.
