Hi, just released The Source, a 32X demo, failed to do a proper capture since i have no acquisition card : https://downloads.kstorm.org/2025-11-30_the_source.7z
It's 16MB ROM so it works with Ares emulator or everdrive pro.

Got a test version working with two SH2, one processing polys and one rendering + audio, transferring sorted polys using com port + sdram, got nice speed improvements : https://downloads.kstorm.org/testing/th ... wo_sh2.32x
Will maybe do another demo with this, or test small game...

But read here somewhere com port is slow, i may try to send batches (its one poly by one in this test), try doing sorting on the other sh2 etc...

I finally had time to try it on my 32X and while it runs smoother there are problems :
* The color was all wrong
* All texture effects were gone
* There were some wrong looking polygons here and there, rather than just visibility related glitches
* MD side (I think the names etc. were done that way) was invisible
* Music has a loud static section in one part
* Music did not sync up anymore, music ended before before the graphics reach end.

I tried to take some photos but they didn't turn good as the camera really struggles with CRT projection, and stuff in motion in general lol.
This one blurry photo will have to do, it shows the color everything is in... I also tried in both 50Hz and 60Hz and things worked properly in the old demo in both, and also no difference in the new one...Things look less squished in 60Hz though, the aspect ratio of the experience seems to be a bit wide without some sort of vertical expand on the display.

The music is actually really fitting and I now heard it is in stereo too, and that is cool ~
