I'm not sure why my everdrive cart isn't working anymore. It boots the menu but doesn't seem to write the flash right. I cannot run anything with it. This is totally lame, has anyone else had their cart spontaneously stop working? Looking at the thing all the chips seem in place and no components are missing. I'm thinking about reflowing it.

Once my Everdrive stopped at the message ("soft mega"?) right after it flashes but before it reboots. I forget the game I was trying. I hit reset because I didn't have any other options. After the reset, it worked but now I wonder if it'll do the same thing again. Never has, though.

You should contact Krikzz.

Did you try to reformat your SD card ? My everdrive only accept 2 GB SDCard and sometime i need to format it (FAT16) to get it back working...

What happens when you try and load a game into the flash memory? I have had problems with my cart, which turned out to be caused by power issues with the console itself. Have you tried it in another system (if you have one)?

Isn't there a backup-OS that you boot by holding some buttons while powering on? That's the most common way of restoring an ED that is acting flaky. I forget which buttons you hold... that would be in a thread or two over at KRIKzz's forums.

Looks just as if everything is normal (status-bar appears and whatnot). Power issues, huh. I'm running not of the original adapter. If I had another sega-genesis I'd try it but I don't :/ thinking about picking one up tomorrow

Holy shit!!! It works! Bought myself another sega and it's working with it again. Hope this doesn't happen again

I guess our systems are old enough to start having power issues. Perhaps the capacitors are starting to dry up.

Yeah, bad caps are the bane of old consoles. :(
