Themed custom covers on laptops are common. Just because someone MIGHT make SEGA themed covers with SEGA's permission does not mean SEGA is making new hardware for the home market. It means just what it means - someone is thinking of making some custom covers (they won't if certain levels of pre-sales don't get met), and got SEGA's permission to do so.

These are cool but that article is a little bit breathlessly excited and kind of bending the truth about it being "Sega hardware." Still, if I had the cash & these were widely available, I'd take one!

I like the MegaDrive and Saturn covers in the OP... just wish they were JUST the covers in a couple different sizes to fit various common profile laptops. That would probably sell better than trying to sell the whole effin laptop.
