Hi,

It's been a while I did not took a look at the game code but I wanted to have your advices :) .

Now that some drivers are available, would it be a good idea (worst) to translate the OST to mvstracker?

The game was published on segacd some time ago thx to MaskOfDestiny under the name "Mighty Mighty Missile".
It was a tribute to megadrive... And since every review I saw says "rip off", "loosy shit", should I come back to the original title?
I say that because people generaly don't understand what we do :?.
My actual mind would be to get back to chuchu rocket... More fun, more power, more sega!

The game is ready, totaly bug free... just need driver implementation and box artworks.

I plan to do a little cartridge run, sold production cost (to boost the number of game releases) :D.

Congrats ! It's a very nice quality game !
I don't think so but does the game supports Teamplayer for 4 players fun ? :)

Of course, supports both team player model2 and EA4way play.
You can even play in team of 2 players each (two teams of two).
You can set all players to CPU... in the final game, the AI is quite strong... it is easy to lose exept if the AI gets lost (which happen sometimes) :)

Thx for the comment.

I chatted a bit with kaneda, and "chacha rocket" might be a good compromise... what do you think?

4 players support ! Wonderful !
and a good AI :) you did a perfect port of the dreamcast version :D
Well, as you mentionned in the first post, i think you should keep the original name.
What about "Chuchu Rocket Genesis" or "Chuchu Rocket SegaCD" ? hmm yeah, maybe not that good :?

Haha, i don't know... In fact, its hard to tell about the porting fidelity...
What i can say is that i ripped the gfx from the gba version... And played one time (few hours though) the dreamcast game.
So... the gameplay may change a bit.

The multiplayer maps (up to 10, unlockable content) are 100% new.
But the 100 puzzle maps are slightly "remixed" of the dreamcast version, maybe 15 of them are 100% new.

I think the AI is stronger than the GBA version because it is a real AI, not a nasty "precalculated" thing. And the AI is pervert... it analys what you are doing to better cheat you ;)

So you think that ChuChu rocket is safe? ...
The big problem is to get the MVS sound track... There is a thin chance somebody gets interested into translating/remixing the original BGM (composed of 3 main tracks and several variations).

As said Pascal, what about Chuchu Rocket MD ? I think it's ok, SEGA wouldn't care about it ;)

I'm impatient to test the AI :p and about MVS stuff, unfortunatly i'm not a music guy (just a coder) :-/

i vote for a Chuchu rocket MD, nothing beat the original

Well, i don't think sega would mind as genesis is dead, i don't think they're planning to release Chuchu rocket on Virtual Console Wii.

i preorder my copy of chuchu :D

Lol :D ok. Nice to hear some entousiasm :)
Ok, ChuChu Rocket MD... I may start the artwork next week, japanese cover style powa :) Any idea who would be interested into remixing the tracks to mvs format? I can even pay him with copies of games if motivation needed :)

Haha, I cross finguer you'll loose the first time you'll play ;P Fortunately, you can divide its processing power by 2 to 7 (in the options)...
You can even put it in "precalculated" mode, but that's uber easy then ;)
i preorder my copy of chuchu
You already have the segacd version ^^ haha. But yeah, cartridge is always better :) A little run of should be fine.

Yeah ChuChu Rocket MD is a good name.
Does the game support the sega mouse ? Could be cool.

playing chuchu rocket with sega mouse O_o being a big fan of the DC version, i don't see the benefit by using the mouse with this game, how to give the direction of the arrows ?

Nice game !!! :D

Name should be definately Chuchu rocket MD. Maybe even so that if you use MD to play it, it displays Chuchu rocket MD and if Genesis, it displays Chuchu rocket Genny

Héhé :)

Still nobody interested to (re) compose the original soundtrack for the cartridge version? That's 4-5 themes to do, okay...

You can be paid too, i would be ready to do that.
Lets say 3usd per copy sold (if any LOL) :)

:D
