Hey folks,
our friend Gligli went to EVOKE last week end, to submit his latest creation (along with a team of 4 artists from the RESISTANCE demoscene group) to the "Alternative Platforms" demo competition. : The Spiral for the Sega Megadrive/Genesis
The demo ended up in 4th position (on a total of 17 entries) and I hope you will appreciate the hard work here :

A YT capture done on the real hardware is here :

The demo features several technical breakthrough :
- An audio track that plays on FM + a full PCM Stream
- Transparency FX
- Realtime spherical distortion & zoom
- Full Motion Video at 25fps
- Realtime voxel landscape
- "Shadebobs" particle system in bitmap mode
As always, the demo is using Stef's SGDK as a framework

Nice! The voxel part in particular.

Love this demo. Planets with textures rotating. Woah.

Cool demo! When will there be gameplay in 3D? FMV is no longer surprising. Genesis can do more.
