it seems it doesn't work on some config
If you're able to test it, Pocket Lucho is looking for feedback on any
Genny alone
Genny with SegaCD empty
Genny with SegaCD + audio CD
Genny with SegaCD + gameCD
Genny with SegaCD + CD Rom (w/o audio tracks)
If you get some times, please share your results
Thanks

My setup is "Japanese Mega Drive with Mega-CD 1 (empty)" and I get an "Error initializing CD" after all the initial stuff is correctly detected and shown.
