War in the Machine for the Sega Genesis

Post by slobu » Wed Oct 18, 2017 8:23 pm

Here's a live stream of War in the Machine for the sega genesis.

Basically, you control one of two bases launching ships at enemies. The enemies are procedurally generated. The larger "boss" enemy inherits the best rated movement patterns.

Should be available at the PRGE and Good Deal Games storefront.

Special thanks to Stef and the XGM driver!

All sold through Good Deal Games. Haven't heard a peep about digital copies. The PRGE edition has 30 unique copies. As in, on the title screen it actually states which of the 30 copies it is. That was a pain. :)

TLT of romhacking .ru said there was very little information on my game. SegaTim: If you're active on that site tell him he can reach me here for all the info he needs. Unfortunately, I never learned Russian and my connection to that site sucks.

There is a reason why videogames companies expend about half of their expenditure on advertising.
Hope you don't find this as an attack, but as a suggestion.

Hey there Miquel!

I am the sole developer of this game. Just wanted to show off my creation not market it. That's all on Good Deal Games who contracted me for this game.

If you've got a suggestion on how to better spread the word I'm all ears :)

Well... you can always create a global polemic, like Midway did with Mortal Kombat, but if you are not ready for it (joking), you can always put some images for example.

Spicewares Draconian for the Atari 2600 heavily influenced me. I kind of jokingly made a game engine mock up where you controlled a Bosconian base. Many years later Good Deal Games and I were collaborating on a genesis shooter (this project). He decided we should emphasize two player gameplay pretty late in development. I remembered my Bosconian base mock up and quickly turned that into what the PRGE edition of War in the Machine became.
