TFM Snare Question

Post by Craphex » Sun Apr 12, 2009 11:16 am

I've tried many snares on tfm maker but i can never get the same sound they use in the original sonic game, the very start of the startup song is a good example. Has anyone made this sound, know how, or can send me the right instrument? Thanks

Sonic and many other SMD games uses digital channel for drums (8-bit samples). TFM MM does not support this.

Oh right damn.
Sorry i'm a bit new to this.
Erm, is there any way to use these sounds then?
If possible to use in Ableton or Renoise? I don;t think theres any vsts out there so is there samples from the game?
Sorry for being a bit of a pain >.<
Thanks!

Yes, you can record the sounds into wave file and use them in any tracker or sequencer with PCM support. To record samples you can use emulators or GYM/VGM players which allow to mute sound channels (you need to enable only FM6 channel).

You can record these samples by yourself in few minutes, it's faster than search for already made.
