To make some tests on the CDC commands (known and still unknown), I'd like to send raw commands.
It is possible from a cart (since I can't use a disc...) ? using Chilly Mode 1 player ?

Mode 1 boot should work for any kind of CD hardware access, not just playing audio tracks. Out of curiousity, why can't you use a disc? Busted drive?

My reasons :
1/ my MCD is stil buggy
2/ some commands won't work from disc (open/close tray ?)
3/ I need to test result (status) when no disc is loaded or wrong CD format or ....
4/ I'll need to test the same commands later with SD Card loader

Strictly speaking you can do this when booting from a CD. For instance, multi-disc games will issue an eject command so the next disc can be inserted.

I was sure you'll answer this...hence the "?"
