note! - Color Mechanica / Sega CD album

Post by BatslyAdams » Sat Dec 28, 2013 9:30 pm

Hey guys,

I've been lurking for a while. There were tons of times where I found technical answers on here when I was troubleshooting my SCD code, so thanks!

A musician friend and I had the idea to put together an album that is playable for the Sega CD a few months ago. I've done a bunch of 68K coding for the original Genesis but keeping tabs on the sub-cpu was tougher than I thought (the separate H-INT burned me pretty bad!).

The album has an interactive menu and you can play a unique set of samples over each track using the controller. There are also a handful of cinepak FMVs on the disc! His music is great and free to stream on bandcamp.

Anyway! Thought I'd let you guys know we finally released it today.

Looking forward to posting more!
