IC mixing video

Post by danibus » Fri Aug 30, 2019 4:50 am

Hi there

Is there any IC mixing video similiar to 32x one? I have an idea to use it. See attached PNG

That means an IC with 2 r-g-b inputs, 1 r-g-b output and something to control which output is working(the chroma part).

32x mixing video IC is a custom chip, but in the market has to be something like that.

There is an old RGB encoder chip that's found in some Master System models that has two RGB inputs with means to select between them (I no longer remember the part number of it). I'm not aware of any other all in one things.

You want an AD8188 or AD8189.

That will do the RGB switching. RGB to component/composite are a dime a dozen. So no, there's not one single chip that can do both, but two small chips can handle it just fine.
