YM2612 notes...

Post by TmEE co.(TM) » Fri Sep 28, 2007 11:10 am

As Shiru said, the note freq number list in Sega manual for YM2612 is wrong, so I'm asking who can give me the right one ?

I got this from BasiEgaXorz manual and it sounds very accurate to me.
I also included the noise generation description from the manual.

In BEX, it works GREAT!

Table above for PSG, TmEE asked about YM2612...

My table, which I use in TFM MM for VGM exporter: 645,683,724,767,812,861,912,966,1024,1085,1149,1217 (for 3.83MHz YM's clock)

Note that main problem not in YM or PSG freq tables (it's not big deal if music sounds slightly higher or lower). They just must be tuned up together. So you can correct PSG table instead of YM, if you want.

Actually the PSG table has some use to me, as mine is generated by a quickly written QB program, and is slightly inaccurate. Thanks both of you :D
