32X on eBay
My !!!
There was a nice 32X for pal Genesis on eBay.
Start bid at 50€. It went away at 80€.
Did any of you guys were on this auction ?
Anyway, it seems as if our beloved mushroom won't be cheap that 80-100€ anyway :(

PAL 32X is rare, and thus the high price... US 32X have become quite expensive aswell

32X is a bitchy thing... I had to go through some fair amount of trouble before I got mine actually stable.

Well, I actually have one of those import adapters, so maybe I'll give that a try if I can find it. The unit that works has a shorter "stalk" on the mushroom which causes it to stay firmly in the MD cartridge slot instead of wiggling around, and I suspect that's the main reason it's working..Have you checked this site http://www.sonic-cult.org/articles/32x/ ?

main reasons are the 2 ribbon cables inside the unit. If you get these fixed, its all good.

God I don't want to dig up a dead thread but I have two US NTSC 32x's and neither cost me more than $20...
but as has been mentioned I have two of them because they are RIDICULOUSLY unstable.
I don't know if I would have paid for a Neptune had it existed since the only 32x games I really enjoy are Kolibri and Tempo

I'm a little late for the discussion, but I have two 32Xs and haven't had any trouble with either of them. Anecdotal evidence aside, it seems the issue with the rest of them is the lack of sticky substance on the ribbon cables that TmEE mentioned.
My first 32X is original, from its US launch actually. It has survived three moves and dozens of living room rearrangements. My original 32X sits happily, and permanently, upon my US launch Sega Genesis and Sega CD model 1s. My second 32X was purchased with a Genesis 2 Sega CD 2 used several years ago. At any rate, the second 32X was less than $15, about 10% of what I paid for the thing originally with no regard for inflation. I'd recommend anybody pick one up if they can for the shear purpose of its enhanced Genesis/Sega CD video quality if nothing else.
