Lol, well, after TmEE kept talking about OPL3 to me, I decided to venture into it myself.
I installed an OPL3 into my IBM XT (as I feel the NEC V30 with it's 8080 emulation mode is quite a cool archetecture), and went along to convert some Bloodlines music, into OPL3 format.
The result is this. My XT and it's little OPL3 chip playing music, in "close" quality to the original. I say close, because it's not quite.
But compared to my OPL2 samples from that other thread, these ones kick some major ass!

How good do these sounds to the original?

(Btw, this was recorded with the Creative Labs Xmod USB sound card. It has good recording capabilities, that's nice and clear)
