I got this from BasiEgaXorz manual and it sounds very accurate to me. I also included the noise generation description from the manual. In BEX, it works GREAT! Tiido, now you're speaking my language. That interests me very much, since I have a flash cart, I can write your music player and run on my megadrive. I have also the EXT port (genny model 1) note my genny is NTSC (USA Standard) so please take into consideration the international settings! :) I will...

As Shiru mentioned there is the so called "TV SAFE AREA" most of the CRT TVs will have issues displaying information on the edges of the pictures. We had to work on redesign of TRPG's menues because of that. Because it was mainly tested on emulators, the first letters of the menu commands were being...

For a simple reason, since you're new to all this stuff, maybe you want to dump the sound of a channel that is actually playing in PSG, which cannot be dumped. If you're wondering why PSG cannot be dumped, PSG are simple square wave tones, so there are no complexity in the sound wave like the FM cha...

Thing is that I don't have a desktop PC. I used to do all the sort of tricks and mods when I lived in Brazil, but here in USA I only have a notebook PC, which makes a littke tricky for such mods. I'll probably have to relly on emulators such as DosBox, Bochs or Ms Virtual PC. I have Windows 3.11 ins...

Sega2.doc Scans now in PDF
When you are bored without much stuff to do at work, what do you do? Help the Sega Development community, of course! :D I compiled all scans published by Eke on the other topic into a single PDF file. The size didn't reduce, but now you can read it at once without the need to be comming back and for...

I am very inclined to say the background is always streamed video. The reason for that is that I had the same issue with the game freezing, but my disc had a scratch that Sega CD coudn't read... On emulators the game would go through, I believe because the drive could read the scratch that the old 1...

I usually use Macromedia Robodemo (now it is called Adobe Captivate) for screen capture, instead of video, it generates a Flash (.swf) very small and loses absolutely no quality. Shiru, I never heard back from you on the PM. Did my driver spec scare you away? Please bring me your thoughts on that. T...

Notepad? That means that you can edit the palette as pure text no? Care to post a snippet of how such palette looks as text? Not sure about C but as far as programming goes you can either load binary data or load data in memory. Here is a sample of palette and a tile using the palette, used in one ...
