*yawn* :/ Thanks for that :D Voltage-Regulators are on their way. I have then only to assist the chap who is handling the Hardware manufacture to write the Firmware to the Bootloader, do some testing then we should be good to go. But I was under the impression that you only wanted a PCB, Oerg866 - ...

Oh and by the way, 26 Khz for 4 PCM channels with envelop and pitch support is awesome ! Congrats ! Indeed it would be cool to have the sources as it can be really useful for high quality music on intro screen or stuff like that. One more question, is there any limit on sample or mod file ? Correct...

Squee didn't previously host one, but yes, it's a new channel on the network for which squee provides a server.

Well, may I suggest that you use the PCBA Consultation service from iteadstudio.com? They manufacture boards rather cheaply, and the PCBA consultation service based on gerberfiles and a BOM will respond quickly with a quote for fully assembled boards (yes, with parts on it) in the quantity you speci...

While we're on the subject of squee...

The channel is on this irc server:

irc.squee.co

(in case that is down, you can use irc.digibase.ca as well!)

and the channel name is:

#gendev

Cheers!

IRC Channel

Hi, Lately I've been asked by an unusual number of people whether there is a Mega Drive hard/software development related IRC channel, so I thought I should ask if there is general demand for such a thing? I'd be willing to start one ;) EDIT: The channel is on this irc server: irc.squee.co (in case ...

Hi,

is there an ETA yet? I'd kinda need some sort of hardware debugging capability soon

Again: Just need the kit, I can assemble it myself :)

Cheers

The most effective approach would indeed be the YM2612 timers. And the PCM playback should be on Z80 side... It's really not something you want to waste 68k cycles with.

(PS: Exodus 1.0.0 does 11FPS on my i7-3820 with that ROM)

I haven't really been working on it to be honest. If I had gotten more interest earlier I probably would have pushed it back onto the front burner, but by the time M-374 LX expressed interest, finishing in time for Demosplash would have been difficult. It's probably for the best anyway. It's easier...
