"Regen 0.94" : Apparently Sega CD and 32X will only be 6% of Regen? :P

Don't you want to release a "Final" 1.00 version of (regular, good ol') Windows Regen before emulating other systems?

You guys should post a video of you performing this "hitting" or "shaking" method. I've never soldered, let alone de-soldered anything. It would be informative (and entertaining, as it sounds.) :P

Can I accurately say logging or ripping is better because one will always take less space and will be more efficient (when fully optimized?) Or does it really depend on the source?

The ring sound seems too loud in the Sonic games. It hurts my ears. :( The lowpass filter doesn't seem to help (not to mention that the filter itself is probably inaccurate anyway. :P ) I've been casually perusing the YM2612 thread and docs. It makes my head spin. All of you who are doing this work ...

Are you sure that's the correct Konami logo in the recording? The only one I know that has the crackling issue is the one from Zombies Ate My Neighbors.

Castlevania Bloodlines BGM 26 distorts similarly.

Probably because then you'd presumably have two copies of basically the same data. The sound code in the actual rom and the ripped format. They probably figure most people have the roms anyway, so why create a new format?

What is it called again where you crack open an integrated circuit and >>dye<< the bits to obtain a 100% accurate representation of what goes on? Expensive, but intriguing?

AamirM, I like the idea of "sound plugins" for various types of filtering and sampling options.

Yeah, I've listened to a few more games and have noticed some inaccuracies. Hopefully it gets better, though. :)

M1 for Genesis music

I don't know if you are aware of using M1 to emulate Genesis music by use of the actual roms, but the newest version sounds really great. I daresay it's the best way to listen to Genesis music yet based on my own ears. How does it stack up technically with the new YM2612 findings and all? http://www...

Regen already logs wav at the correct rates (without any resampling at 53267hz in superhq mode) if thats what you wanted. Yes, I love that, but it would be uber-convenient to add a VGM playback feature so games without sound tests and such won't have to be "hacked again" to get the music playing by...
