Re: Sega Tech Docs archive

Thanks for the link. Do you know if any copies of the CodeScape software itself have been shared anywhere? I've used it for the Dreamcast, but I don't think I've ever seen it for the Sega Saturn.

Re: Exodus 2.1 release soon (Now available!)

I see I asked you the same thing in this thread earlier in the year. Unless I've forgotten though (and please forgive me if I have) I don't think I've got any crash report files from you yet though. If you could follow my previous instructions too about manually generating a minidump if the program ...

Re: Exodus 2.1 release soon (Now available!)

When it crashes, do you get any crash report files generated? Check for a "Crash Reports" folder under the directory holding Exodus.exe. If there are crash report files there, send them through to me and I can debug the issues. I haven't seen stability problems myself.

Re: Sega Tech Docs archive

A couple of days later than I wanted, but I've just uploaded an initial translation of the Japanese Saturn developer docs, in both offline and live hosted versions. If you'd like to take a peek, here's the hosted links: http://docs.exodusemulator.com/Archives/SSDDV1R1E/hyousi.htm - English http://do...

Re: Sega Tech Docs archive

Awesome! I've incorporated all your new scans into the archives on the website, with OCR performed and the tech bulletins separated out. I've also combined the hardware manual back into a single unified document. That's made a huge improvement to the quality of the available 32x documentation, thank...

Re: Sega Tech Docs archive

I've just pushed a significant update for the Saturn section, adding in content for the DTS (Developer Technical Support) newsletters, CDs, and website archives, as well as the Japanese developer CDs, including the full image of the CD I pulled those new Japanese Saturn developer docs from. I also p...

Re: Sega Tech Docs archive

Ahh, too many replies at once, missed you bigger post above. Kudos for the missing pages (lol at 65 being blank!). If you can do full scans of what you have to share at some point though, that'd be great. A few of the things you listed are up elsewhere (IE, the ZAX ERX318 manuals are with the system...

Re: Sega Tech Docs archive

Haha I've just noticed you have a "partial" scan of the Elliot Gay 32X manual, pages 35-48, in your Google Drive. That's precisely the chunk missing from mine! Do you have the physical copy? Today's your lucky day! https://i.imgur.com/ZvJhint.jpg If you've got the rest of the manual though, can I b...

Are the japanese disc docs in japanese?
Yep, fully Japanese, but I'm working on a translated version now. In the interim, the built-in translation tools in Google Chrome make it fairly usable.

Sega Tech Docs archive

Hi guys, I've been working away at something for the last couple of weeks. I have a lot of documentation, tools, images, and other bits and bobs archived for all kinds of Sega systems. Like, a lot, over 15 years worth. I've been trawling through it lately, trying to organise things better, catalogue...

Re: Questions on writing a new Mega CD emulator

Unfortunately the data is never passed on when it's in that mode. I'm on my phone and can't look things up properly, but IIRC whichever asic gets the raw data stream from the laser also exposes the TOC data, and it never passes the data on when it's doing TOC decoding. Only way I could get at that d...

Re: I'm officially building a microcode-level 68000 core

Just doing a quick post to say I haven't forgotten about this or abandoned it. My wife gave birth to our fourth child about two weeks ago, and leading up to that I needed to devote extra time to getting ready and helping my wife, as well as getting things squared away at work. I'll be turning my att...
