I just want the board to know how happy I am that the right people are finally getting this solved.
The Mega-LD remains a complete mystery to me and it's absolutely fantastic to know its secrets are finally coming out.

You're a fantastic bunch and I wish you every success.

Manufacturing an error [CD 32X]

Hi; Corpse Killer for CD 32X has a horrible error screen that I can remember terrifying me stupid when I was eight years old. I finally found video footage of it occurring here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=UxoXNi_qCkQ#t=1733 The error is at 28:52 if YouTube timestamping...

Sorry you guys couldn't find anything useful. Since it's likely using an entirely different BIOS that the Sega and NEC modules I figured it wouldn't yield much interesting. Nothing to be sorry about - this way, we don't wonder if perhaps they MIGHT have been useful. Well, if it's any concessi...

On another note, since I do have a pretty high-end capture card (Canopus ADVC 110, supports S-Video as well), what would be the best stand-alone LD player to buy in order to rip video? I think it was mentioned elsewhere that most LDs display the video in such a way that other players would be unabl...

Nemesis, did you have a name picked for your emulator? This project should have a title.

EDIT: Did some looking over the schematic.... looks like we might want to look at the LD video inputs at the BA7230LS chip on the RGBB board. That chip looks to be the final encoder that combines the LD video with the RGB overlay from the PAC. Schematic: http://www.cyberroach.com/new_laseractive_pi...

Has anyone given any thought as to whether something like ReGen or Kega would support this, or if we'd need to make our own program? DAPHNE is open-source, perhaps that would be a good place to start if there are any coders around. Well I'm working on my own Mega Drive emulator, but it's a long way...
