I am using a Megadrive 1 PSU.
I may go to the electronics store this weekend and buy a replacement battery. Is it the CR2018? (I will check when I get home)

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I have the same issue, again caused by an incorrect power supply. You mentioned that the battery circuit switched the RAM to battery operation and write protected itself. How did you fix this? I also as a precaution left the MegaCD on overnight to make sure the b...
