Re: Help Preserving SEGA MegaZone Magazine Project
Thanks man! :) Was a bit worried I was talking to myself here so it's great to see another Aussie here who knows the mag! :) Just had to go edit my older posts in this thread to change all my links to the archive itself as unfortunately some bloody musician decided to call themselves Megazone and s...

Re: Help Preserving SEGA MegaZone Magazine Project
Just wanted to say thanks very much for your work on the MegaZone archive project! I stumbled on it last year and it blew my mind.... What a blast from the past it was, and a lot of fun being taken back to when the Mega Drive was in prime time and the 32X and Saturn were mythical beasts! Plus seeing...

Re: My current Sega MD/CD/32X devkit
Thanks very much for posting this. It's quite simple and elegant. I have been a longtime user of gendev [SGDK], but I much like your self-contained toolchain. Note it builds just fine on freebsd, too. The only change is you need to explicitly specify gnu make instead of the default BSD make. The eas...

Google code shutting down
So, the news has been circulating about google's decision to shut down google code. http://google-opensource.blogspot.com.au/2015/03/farewell-to-google-code.html I figured the maintainers of SGDK would be on top of migrating the code base over to another service, but this was more of a notification ...

Thanks, adding the linker script resolved the missing symbol error. I have a feeling the init.S code included in this sample is incorrect, hence why it is failing to boot [the included .bin from the tutorial site also doesn't work]. I'll try using the init header from sgdk and see if that works inst...

Help with compilation on Linux
Hi everyone, I've been keen on MD development for some time and have now taken the plunge and am shoulder deep in documentation and information. [And loving it, btw :) ]. As a bit of background, I'm fairly competent in an array of languages, I'd done some z80 programming about 10 years back, so am n...

Hi prophet36, Thank you very much for the (extremely) fast reply! That really clears up my queries regarding the SDRAM chips. I've got a supplier locally with plenty of the Micron 128Mib available, so I will grab a few of those. I haven't arranged my PCB fabrication yet. I have taken a look at hackv...

FPGA memory module specifications
Thanks so much for posting up the umdk as open source! I've been re-acquainting myself with assembly with some mega drive programming, and have been wanting to move over to working on real hardware for some time, so this project has finally given me the motivation to do so! I've been sourcing compon...
