Just a little demo of what I'm working on.
FIXED DEMO RELEASED
http://www.gmclan.org/up444_4_rom.html
http://www.uploader.pl/pl/file/241523/rom-rar.html [mirror]
An unofficial sequel of Q*Bert for Sega Genesis.
Features:
- 1 stage (8 levels)
- 2 control schemes
- 4 kinds of enemies + 1 kind of obstacles
- FM music (made or remade with TFM Music Maker), PSG sounds
No known bugs now. Yay.
Game works fine in Gens and Fusion. If anyone cared to test this on real hardware, I'd be really thankful. If it wouldn't work, I may release the source code, even though it looks messy.
This demo is coded in C. I used Stef's Genesis MiniDevkit. Thanks to users of this forum too, I wouldn't be able to make this without your help. ;p Please report every bug you notice, I'll attempt to fix it.

| Seems to work fine on real hardware, but the difficulty level is pretty high. I don't remember that many enemies coming so fast or aggressive in Qbert. |

Thanks for your posts, I thought the game is still too easy, though.

I don't know if I should take this as a compliment or an insult. :P _________________ http://gendev.spritesmind.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=760 - Mega Q*Bert demo

Releasing the fixed version of demo.
- Password option doesn't glitch after Game Over screen.
- Music is muted before Game Over screen.
- Q*bert doesn't swear when playing the game after Game Over screen.
- No enemies on screen when starting the game after Game Over screen.
- Massive rebuild of level structure (now Coily shouldn't glitch level 1-3 and 1-4).
- 2 new maps (1-7 and 1-8).
- Life counter doesn't restart after completing a level.
- You get 5 lives when starting the game instead of 3.
- A number when starting a level is shown.
