Hey guys
I Want to make a repro cart for the sega megadrive (I already did about 10 for the snes so i'm not unfamiliar with the eprom burning stuff). I used the M27c160 (2MB) and ofcourse i first compard it with the mask rom.
After compareing the two i didn't see any diferances but when i burn pulseman,sonic3 or batman and robin but none will start(black screen).
mask rom: http://nintendoallstars.w.interia.pl/romlab/segaroms.htm
I made sure the i got a slavecart with de maskrom that is displayd in the middle of the image (by looking at pin 32 and 42)
m27c160: http://www.datasheetcatalog.org/datasheet/SGSThomsonMicroelectronics/mXrxvyv.pdf
As you can see there is no diferance.
Is there some header in the rom image that i don't know of?
(all my mega drive roms are bin files)
With the snes roms you need to delete the header when you want to burn them.
Can someone put me in the right direction? |

most EPROM burning software needs byte-swapped MD ROMs. _________________ Mida sa loed ? Nagunii aru ei saa |

| yes, you just need a Swap byte and if you use a 27c160 they are not any redirection. |
