Tell me what do you think...

I know this belongs to Hardware section, but it gets very little attention

Most VGA monitors will not sync to the 15KHz signal; however, some LCDs will (presumably because some LCDs also have TV inputs on them).

I've tried 5 other monitors, and only mine shows picture, others complained about Hsync. That one which I'm using doesn't have any other ports except VGA and DVI. I was told, that some old Nokia monitors accepted 15KHz Hsync too.

Yeap, a multi-sync VGA wich can accept 15Khz otherwise it's impossible.

Of course, if you have a VGA Box (i can't remember the name), you can plug your MD to an VGA monitor.

A+

IF you could make a line doubler

for example it would store one RGBline in RAM1 and reading another one (RAM2) containing the former line @ twice the speed and 2 times then it swaps RAMS (store RGB line in RAM2 and reading from RAM1)

of course the RGB needs to be converted to digital for the doubler and to analog for the monitor

The required ram/video timings would be controlled by a microcontroler/FPGA

It would create a clear VGA signal@31kHz (deinterlaced), and aceptable by almost all pc monitors

my 1st post

::EDITED:: my megadrive has a VGA conector but all monitors i have don't accept it and in the TV it shows a vertical black bar at the right ...

Nice idea, but if I ever plan to do such thing, I'll do it in university, first I need to graduate 12th grade, which starts at 1st september.
