Hi!
SGDK sure makes the programming easy. I wonder if there is an equal easy way to produce vgm files? Like a program or something. Google didnt came up with anything just that its a universal foramt for all video games not just genesis.
I also see that you can output vgm files from old games, but that limits med to have the background music of old games. Thats not what I want....
help please

Re: Background Music
Deflemask or VGMMaker are used to make Genesis music. Neither are easy unless you've done tracker music before, though.
Re: Background Music
Thanks for this.
So if I can get my friend to make a music file that plays in this program, then I can use it in my game with sgdk?
He cannot make it "the wrong format" or something?

Re: Background Music
Deflemask at least supports more than Genesis, so if your friend clicks on "Gameboy" then the song won't play on Gen
But targeting a Genesis, all features of the programs should work fine.

I lead him to vgmmaker, so there should be no fuck-ups
