Just a screenshot of a simple hello world I made using Stef's SGDK. This is the first code I was able to get running on the Sega, thanks to your help!
This was accomplished using Chilly Willy's toolkit, SGDK, and Devster's old SGTD!! program.

Us old-timers have higher levels we strive for - my first MD program was a port of Wolf3D for the 32X.
Of course, I had the advantage of having worked on similar platforms in the past, so it's not the same as most noobs. When I switch to a new platform, I might be a noob, but I still have knowledge and experience that can carry over. My simplest MD/32X programs (TicTacToe) were deliberately made simple to serve as examples for "true" beginners.

Re: Hello World
That's a lot more than I did for my first program...Zontar wrote:Just a screenshot of a simple hello world I made using Stef's SGDK. This is the first code I was able to get running on the Sega, thanks to your help!
