Good Deal Games decided to make a new batch of War in the Machine for the sega genesis. Original

Added a more conventional control mode where your player uses UP and DOWN on the d-pad for movement (instead of A and B). As a side effect your "projectile" mini ships move vertically with you since they are steered via d-pad.
Used an early version of the wonderful XGM driver. Some clone systems and revisions of firmware on the Mega SG play back music waaaay too fast. Contacted the Mega SG core developer about it.
Basic premise of the game is still the same: launch your three mini ships at the randomized enemies. Kill enough and a randomized boss appears. Defeat the boss and a new wave appears with a more demanding kill quota and speed. Although you can only move your base vertically button C gives you a temporary invincibility shield.

Was it developed with BEX?
If so, and if V1.0 of XGM driver is used, it may need to update it to V2.0 to fix the issue.
