I killed the zombie, haha. Looks pretty, and the item taking animation especially. Some points:
- controls feel weird, maybe would be better to have up be NW and right NE, instead of up being NE?
- no palette changes when turning on/off the light?
- I got confused in the menu on what A and C do
- gun had no feedback?

I'd prefer if up was just north, honestly =P (i.e. controls aren't tilted around)

Um, the palette did change when the light was turned on... (although the dark palette is not that dark, but not sure if it'd make things harder if it was darker)

There was King's Quest, then there was Space Quest, and now there's Zombie Quest! :D Looking good so far.

Wow! it seems very promising.

Also is appreciated he explains how the levels/rooms are build, but man, doing every room entirely from new is a lot of work; I hope you have a large crew. Other games try to structure themselves to avoid that much work.

The control style of the firsts RE games was also strange (for me at least), I don't remember exactly how. I guess he is trying to replicate that control.

Nah, he's trying to recreate Spot Goes To Hollywood's controls (he mentions it in the Russian thread... somehow I could get that even though I don't speak Russian at all, don't ask me how O.O). Not particularly fond of those either.

Resident Evil had a control scheme that was pretty common during that generation: left/right to turn around, up/down to run. The main catch is that most games of the era with those controls had the camera always behind you (so D-pad always matched the camera) while Resident Evil instead has fixed camera angles (since all scenery is prerendered), which made those controls feel much more awkward.
