Slight setback. My PC doesn't turn on anymore. Something probably blew when the power went out and back on this past Tuesday. Gonna go to the computer shop tomorrow. I hope I didn't lose much. I was working on new graphics.

Probably just the PSU. Should not cost much to replace either unless it is non-standard

... or dead battery on motherboard, this is a common cause if the PC is old enough.

That usually does not cause a complete blackout, in most cases the machine will power but may exhibit funny problems. But who knows. Power going out usually affects the PSU

that was my own practice - few years ago, in the evening I turned off the PC, but in the morning he did not react on PWR button, just was late fall and I left the balcony door open all night, so that old battery on the motherboard died from hypothermia :)

Brought the computer to the shop. Yep, looks like it's the power supply.

Looking at my Dropbox folder, looks like I lost all the art work I did last week. Fuck. Did I not click "save" at least once???

Sigh.

PC is fixed. Just need to pick it up this weekend.

To get to work every day I spend a lot of time on the bus and on the metro. I figured I could use that time a little more productively so I bought a copy of Sprite Something for iPhone. It seemed like the best sprite editor available. Saves to pngs and can save to dropbox, which is nice. I've been using it for the past few days and it's workable. The UI is however pretty cluttered and needs a fair bit of work. I'll be sending feedback to the author and hopefully he'll listen to me :)

Why yes, that IS an angry sheep as a fighter pilot!

PC is back in the house! It cost 101$ to replace the power supply. I paid 100$ for the computer :)

I missed you so much noisy vacuum PC sound.

That's often the way it goes.

Some systems are so noisy it's ridiculous. Mine is quiet except for the CPU fan, which is not as bad as a vacuum cleaner, fortunately.

Bunnies are easier to draw at small pixel sizes than sheep.

I make one flying bunny and now I've got a cast of characters. Man, I hope my poor sprite art skills doesn't make them look too much like Cave Story rip offs.

Didn't I mention Goplanes in its current form was pretty much a prototype? The actual game's design can go anywhere :)
