MML for Genesis

Post by Shiru » Thu Jun 26, 2008 11:11 pm

Found this information on SMS Power forum today. Another way to make music for SMD now available - XPMCK, MML (Music Macro Language) compiler with SMD support. Currently it supports only FM, PSG (no DAC) and VGM export (no player for console).

Well, if you already know MML and don't have much experience with trackers, it will be more suitable for you. Also, it's more 'authentic' way to make music for computers and consoles, was popular in Japan at time of 8-16bit systems. It's not easier than using trackers, of course - instead of mastering of tracker features and interface you'll need to learn MML.
