[GenRes] 2.0 released

For anyone interested, I released GenRes 2.0 today

Main changes are about the syntax it uses

GenRes 1.x used

Code: Select all

plugin id file option option option option option
which is not really suited for fine tuning (ie lots of options!)

GenRes 2.x uses

Code: Select all

plugin id file
{
option
option
option
...
}
I also included a lot of tools related to sound (Echo's related, PCM, PSG...) and MAP support multi layers.
And I made a build process to let anyone edit it easily (or test it on other OS?)
I also, for some reasons, added embedded help and sample for every plug in.

As you know, rescomp is the official resource compiler of SGDK.
See GenRes has an alternative but be warned :
  • I updated it when I need it
    No ready to use lib available (just a code sample)
    No header (resource.h) because I don't follow this way
    No longer a swiss army knife but my own tool
If you still want to try it, jump to bitbucket download page and use the magic command :

Code: Select all

genres help
Also note GenRes1.x will soon be removed from SGDK, to avoid any conflict with GenRes2.x and rescomp

since YM is based on VBL, did you play it on NTSC or PAL system ?
Also did you use the correct DESTINATION value (see genres help psg) ?
