PSG and Tracker

Post by MG » Thu Apr 26, 2007 2:24 pm

Well, i don't know if this post is interresting or not, but...

Here we have a tracker for PSG :
http://mod2psg.kontechs.de/
This tracker can export under .VGM files.
And i had seen a Z80 source player in the soft package, but i don't know if it something interresting or not.

Here we have lot of .VGM files :
http://www.smspower.org/music/vgm/index.shtml

Here it my example to play these files with sources files :
http://blatter.perso.cegetel.net/mdprog/psg.zip (1Mo)
All the files (tracker/sources/docs/etc etc...) are included.

Enjoy, A+
Ah ? ben si ? pourquoi pas...

I'm did optimized player of this tracker for Martin long ago (still not in published version). I don't think it useful for SMD, though - because PSG is very, very limited, and we have much advanced synth, YM2612 on SMD (and already two trackers with players for it).

There are several trackers available, but none of them utilizes all the sound capabilities of MD. Shiru's tracker is the best so far. I'm working on a tracker, but it will not be finished due to my extreme lazyness...
