There's now a FPGA version of the sega cd. Bit pricy though.

It functions as a flash cart too, so it essentially will replace a Mega Everdrive.
I watched the premier live, and instantly ordered it the moment they showed Sonic CD running on a Sega Nomad.
The developer(s) are also willing to share information and discoveries too, so hopefully that helps byuu with his Sega CD emulation.
