That is what I needed to know for certain. It makes sense that they did this. Since a good chunk of the games were designed as carts first and then adapted to the Sega CD there was plenty of space on the disk to spare and they wouldn't want long load times. I wanted to see more about the games, because it isn't logical to assume that every game used the CD-ROM units RAM to maximum capacity. Also, since most games use CDA the drive access light doesn't tell me whether game data is being loaded during the levels. Even though I can tell how much of a level was loaded on a Sega CD 2 or X'eye by opening the tray I cannot do that on other disk based systems so it doesn't matter.
