OK, I know this is a development only board, but I am sure you can help me here. I have one of these older MegaDrive 1 with its typical Mono Sound.
I know that the Mixing Cable lets the Mega CD 2 output Stereo Sound over the Chinch plugs on the back. SO I need to build a new cable for Stereo Sound on my TV to get stereo sound.
My question is: The 32x gets all output from the MegaDrive first, then puts it out to the TV. Does the 32x send Audio to the MegaDrive or renders it itself and mixes it into the Sound coming from the MegaDrive? SO do I need to add the Sound from the MegaCD Chinch before or after the 32x? After would be way easier (solder directly into the SCART plug is easier), thats why I ask.....
Normally I would say, screw the Model 1 and buy a Model 2, but I made so many mods on it, I will never replace it (Added a 68010 CPU, added Jap/US 50/60 Hz Switches etc)
P.S. Someone here has a Mega CD 2 MegaDrive Model 1 Adapter (Enlarger) and the metal shielding the MegaDrive stands onto he can sell to me?

Mod your MD !!! There's some pics on my site. All I know is that 32x audio comes from cartridge slot to MD, then it is mixed together with FM and PSG and then (i'm not sure) MCD audio is mixed in aswell. I can send you the schematic of MD2 sound mixing circuitry. Final output = (FM+PSG)+32x+MCD, in stereo. In MD1, that stereo left stereo when it goes to headphone amp or it is mixed to mono if it goes to connector backside. I myself don't have 32x nor MCD so I can't tell you more.

Schematic of sound circuitry is available in my site's MD section. I hope it is not so confusing. BTW I don't use that "Good Stereo" anymore.
