That demo was awesome! Great interview too. Makes me want to actually program something for the Genesis instead of just lurking as I've been doing lately.

Nice interview. Thanks for the transcript, it's very useful for non-native english speakers like me. I'm glad you asked some details about the "3D chequerboard effect", which is the effect I like the most in the Overdrive demo.

What an amazing demo! Along with OP's day trip it's the best thing I saw for Genesis. From my point of view, I am amazed to see what this machine is capable of. In the interview he said he started with BASIC for Genesis. So, did they use it for all of the work?

Indeed but PAL system offers some advantages as more VRAM bandwidth so it helps to produces that type of demo :)
But i heard they plan to do a NTSC version... maybe just a rumor as it would require some severes modifications !

No, I ditched BASIC a long time ago. this is pure assembly.
