[VGM2PRE] Who here uses the Echo format?

Post by neologix » Tue May 07, 2013 5:35 pm

I've just about finished adding to VGM2PRE the ability to dump YM2612 presets to EIF format for use with the MD-specific Echo sound driver and I'm looking for a few people to help me make sure that the EIFs it produces are valid.

Who here uses Echo for music production for MD/Genesis games? Let me know so I can send you a link to a testing binary. I will also be polling on vgmrips and sending links to certain devs and previous VGM2PRE testers as well, so I hope to get a decent distribution of VGM2PRE and/or Echo users for this version.

Once it's confirmed to work I'll push the code to GitHub and update the official binary downloads.

(edit - corrected title +neo)

Hi! Great to know that you are making good progress ;)

Also, it is NOT my format! Sik invented it :)

As to who uses Echo in production, I know of one commercial and a few non-cmmercial devs (Including Sik, me, djcouchycouch, Tristan Seifert and a few others...)

Cheers.

Ah whoops! Thanks for correcting me on it; this title and the vgmrips thread title now fixed.

I'm going to upload a binary this weekend and PM everyone who's going to get it the link when I do so.

I only really use OPM, EIF looks really easy to parse though
