Re: Griel's Quest: looking for translators
looks interesting enough, I may have a go for Finnish. I have to warn though; Static systems where you just replace the phrases/words dont often work well, especially for humour, puns, jokes and references. Ideally, translations would happen as the game is bding built. Are there any helpful doc on anything specific to keep in mind or if there is a specific way(s) I should do the translations?

Jokes should work on your language, this is even so if they were different jokes, so I said to translators "localize it" and a kind of "it's your translation, do the way you want"

You might want to reconsider the name of "Pussy Beach". In American English at least, pussy is slang for a part of the female anatomy. If you intended to suggest "cat", I might suggest "Kitty Beach" as an alternative. I can suggest some other improvements to the English translation to improve grammar and flow if you like.

Thank you, MoD. Seems that while "pussy" and "chumino" means the same, the spanish word has a funny connotation, so I think I'll use your suggestion. We are already reviewing the English version and correcting some expressions. Of course, any input is always welcome

Re: Griel's Quest: looking for translators
Looking up the definition of chumino, pussy might be the right translation. Whether people will find it funny probably will depend on the audience. I only mentioned it because I found it a little surprising and in certain contexts pussy can have a much more innocent meaning (cat). The two combined made me wonder if the more vulgar implication was unintentional, but it appears that was not the case.Moon-Watcher wrote:Seems that while "pussy" and "chumino" means the same, the spanish word has a funny connotation, so I think I'll use your suggestion.
If you're already working on it, perhaps I should hold off until you're done with this pass. No need to duplicate effort.Moon-Watcher wrote:We are already reviewing the English version and correcting some expressions. Of course, any input is always welcome
