what would be the cheapest way to test on real hw

Post by sega16 » Tue Feb 15, 2011 3:20 am

I have had my sega genesis for along time but and I have made a few programs with basiegaxoz. The only really interning things is something that plays pcm and also some 3d-like scanline scrolling...but anyway you don't relay get the same experience playing on the computer as you do on the sega genesis so anyway what would be the cheapest/best way to test something on real hw..also I have a model 2 if that makes any difference.

Shiru's right - the Everdrive MD is the best for the price. KRIKzz is also constantly updating it to be better. You can do updates to the OS via software, and often the firmware as well with a ByteBlaster cable.

That would probably be the CHEAPEST, but certainly not the best. Being able to stick a new version on an SD card and try it is much easier than reburning an EPROM in a regular cart.

Subscribe to the mailing list on this store. I managed to snag my Everdrive just in time thanks to the mailing list! :)

They take credit card, yes. I'd recommend getting a PayPal anyway, however. You'll find it convenient in future.
