Youtube video

Some of you might've seen this already. It's a platform shooter that DI was developing for the Megadrive back in 1994, but never got released because the publisher cancelled it at the last minute. Which is a shame because the game looks really good, and the music is awesome.

The video is from a recent swedish old-school computer party where two of the founders of DI were showing off the game.

Mic is being shared? How is that even possible? :?:

Or did you possibly mean, "Thanks for sharing, mic!"?

Oh, and the video is awesome, too. :D

Yes, I did. Thanks for pointing that out. I need to try a bit hard to clean up my messy Internet grammar. :D

Looks pretty cool and seems like a real shame they canceled it. Hopefully they'll manage to release it to the public domain somehow.

Agreed.

It was said "13 games were canceled [by Psygnosis] in an afternoon meeting", I wonder what the other 12 were.

Interesting game, quite qell programmed (it seems). If guys will release full rom bin into public domain, along with "the one remining bug to squish" - it would be definitely cool. But I don't think so. The desperation to squeeze down to the last penny out of every long ago abandoned project is highly likely to prevail.

A game itself seems to be a blend of of Contra HardCorps gameplay/shootingfx/explosions/bosses/continue_screen, Red Zone style music and fm instruments (actually sound even like the same tracker/tools have been used to compose with same instrument sets), and so much mentioned in comments - Mega Turrican :)

Anyways, would realy like to see (and hear) the full version rom of it running on kegafusion. Otherwise it could be just an another waporware.
