Artist wanting to offer services

Post by MAXIMUSpowers » Tue Jul 14, 2009 6:12 pm

Hi all. I am a graphic artist and also big retro sega fan. If any programmers are involved with a Megadrive/ Mega CD/ 32x project and needing help with graphics I would love to help. No project is too small, I just want to get involved.

have a look at www.nicoll-gallery.co.uk

email me @: liam(dot)d(dot)nicoll(at)hotmail.co.uk

I look forward to hear from you,

Liam

Didn't found any pixel art on your site, as well as any low-resolution 2D graphics. You know, if you want to make graphics for SMD games, you must be able to draw graphics in low resolutions, with limited color palette, and also be able to draw tiled graphics if you want to make backgrounds.

Well, from some of the pics in your site, I can see you're able to work with a limited color palette if so required (useful for Genesis Games) and, of course, with a higher number of colors, too (could be useful for 32X games).
But, as Shiru said, one of the most challenging aspects of doing graphics for Sega Genesis is cramming as much detail and animation as possible on, for example, a 16x16 or 32x32 sprite.
