That's what I thought it was. :P Can't you disable all turbo/power saving options in the BIOS and/or perhaps the RAM timings?

I like my PC when it's quiet when i'm not doing things. Now I set it in windows to run at 100% all the time, that works for me. When I'm done with a debugging session I can just switch back =P

Damn, this is really nice :D Shame the CRAM bitmap takes so much power

i also can't get near fullspeed on my machine. so i guess you really need a top-notch cpu.

I suspect no AMD CPUs at stock clocks will be able to get full speed (maybe Piledriver overclocked to 5.0GHz). I still can't even when overclocking this X6, so yeah. Intel's probably the best bet for full speed. ;)

The i7-3820 is like 250 bucks or less now, it's worth it =P

Also, that looks like an ulocked phenom X2?

Also you're 0.001mV VCore short of being a baller =P

Personally, I'm thinking about going for the i7-3930K or the i7-3770K.

it's an unlocked Phenom II X3 720BE.

Hah!

Actually that's funny. Before I had this system, I actually had a Bulldozer (only for a short time as it was VERY disappointing ;_; FX-4100 @4.7GHz, 8GB, Radeon 6850 )

And before that I had the best fackin thing ever, a Phenom II X2 550 BE I got for 59 bucks, and 8GB of memory, and a ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO which I got for 39 bucks. Quite a steal, really fast at the time unlocked to an X4.

Too easy for me. If someone need optimizations, i hope here will be builds for extreme accuracy as in BSNES\Higan :)

Average speed 93-112fps:

At 4.3GHz with 1.3~ voltage? Nice! That decides me, there's a i7-3770K in my future (along with a Maximus V and a Noctua NH-D14). :P

Are you using the stock cooler, third-party cooler or water? What FPS are you seeing on Sonic 2?

I can get full speed in a few games, however using Sonic 2 as a benchmark the FPS dips to 48 at its lowest on stock CPU clocks. So, really not too bad. This convinces me though that Saturn/Dreamcast cycle accurate emulation at full speed won't be possible anytime soon. I even have my doubts about the Sega CD and 32X - more so the 32X.
